NETWORK WARRINGTON 2011 CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

Network Warrington has launched its Christmas Card Competition and is offering one lucky winner the chance to have their photograph used on the Company's official 2011 Christmas card, plus the winner will receive a month's free travel on Network Warrington buses.
David Squire, Managing Director at Network Warrington said, "Last Winter's snow lay on the ground for many weeks, I'm sure that many people will have been out and about taking photographs at the time, we are looking for a photo of one of our buses taken in the wintry conditions that will be used as our Christmas Card".
Anyone wishing to enter the competition should email their photo together with details of their name, address and location of the photograph to h.connick@networkwarrington.co.uk, the closing date for entries is Wednesday 23 November 2011, the winner will be notified by Friday 2 December.

NETWORK WARRINGTON CELEBRATES INVESTORS IN PEOPLE SUCCESS

Network Warrington has recently been through the three yearly Investors in People re-accreditation process and passed with flying colours.
Not only has the Company maintained the Investors in People standard, but has also achieved the prestigious Bronze Award.
David Squire, Managing Director, commented, "We are absolutely delighted with the results of our recent IIP assessment. The Company has been working hard to modernise itself and the achievement of attaining the Bronze Award is another step on our journey in improving communications both within the Company and externally with its stakeholders".
Investors in People North of England are thrilled with this exceptional achievement. Maintaining Investors in People and achieving Bronze status is a journey of continuous improvement and on-going development.

TOWN'S BUSES BACKING THE BID

2011 Backing the Bid Campaign

Network Warrington, the town's premier bus operator, today announced that it is supporting the bid to bring the 2013 Rugby League World Cup to Warrington.
100 buses will be proudly proclaiming "We're backing the bid" with the vinyl situated immediately above the entrance doors, all our customers and passers-by will see the Company's commitment to supporting the bid to bring Rugby League World Cup games to the town in 2013.
Commenting on the launch at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on 20 October, David Squire, Managing Director of Network Warrington said, "We have been impressed by the sheer hard work and commitment of the team that have submitted the bid, as the local bus operator, we felt it important to visibly demonstrate our backing of the bid, which will be such a great boost for the town and I would urge other local businesses to show their support in whatever way they can".
Over the next week, 100 buses in the Network Warrington fleet will be receiving the vinyls and the company's website and emails will also be using the logo to show our support and commitment to the bid.
Jan Souness, chair of the Rugby League World Cup big steering group, said: "I'm delighted Network Warrington is backing the bid. I'd like to thank them for showing their support in such a visible way - it makes a real difference. We will be hearing next month if we have been successful in our bid and will be sure to let everyone know the outcome".
Andy Gatcliffe, Warrington Wolves Chief Executive, said: "Network Warrington is a key partner in what we hope will be a successful bid. If we do become a host town this will result in the borough-wide community, including many businesses, greatly benefiting from the economic boost it will give to Warrington in 2013. In hosting world cup games, we will also have the opportunity to showcase what we in Warrington have to offer our visitors from around the world".

NETWORK WARRINGTON HOSTS MP VISITS

Network Warrington has recently hosted educational visits from both of the Town's MPs. Helen Jones MP (Warrington North) and David Mowat MP (Warrington South) both visited the company for an information and education session with the Chair and Company Directors.
David Squire, Managing Director, commented, "We are delighted to host visits from both the town's MPs. It was an opportunity to show them how the company is modernising itself, talk them through issues that we face and inform them of future developments. They also had time to tour our premises and were presented with a model bus to remember their visit to us, they both gave us very positive feedback on their visits and we look forward to working with them in the future".
